MINUTES FROM JUDSON PARK ASSOCIATION
SEPTEMBER 6, 2006
Kathy called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m. Tony was not in attendance,
due to the fact he was not informed of the reschedule date.
Total cost for replacing the mailbox at the park due to an accident by one
of the residents was $159. A service came and had it installed in about 20 minutes. Thank you to Kathy and Tony for handling
this situation! The resident will also fix the neighbor’s box next to the park, which was damaged, as well.
Suzette and Michelle both expressed an interest in leaving the board due to
increased commitments in their schedules. We will have nomination forms at the annual meeting and hopefully we will get some
fresh recruits aboard!
Kathy brought up the fact that we have a very large, dead ash tree on the perimeter
of the park, which is dangerously close to the power lines. She contacted Detroit Edison to see if they would come and take
it down, which they no longer do. They also informed her that different cities are considering passing statutes that would
hold the land owner responsible for any damage or repairs due to downed, dead trees. We will get an estimate from R &
T Landscaping, and perhaps others, in January when business is down and we could perhaps get a better price from them for
removing it.
We need to get the wiring and lighting repaired at the park, and hopefully
the Costew’s electrician contact will still come through with an estimate for materials and repairs. We will also present
this problem at the annual meeting to see if we can solicit some help.
Kathy will get the flyer out for the annual meeting set for 2:00 p.m. on Sept.
17th. Tony will present the budget at the meeting. Michelle will work on ordering the chicken, getting drinks, plates and
table ware, as well as print up the sign-up sheets for the various committees.
