Date: September 16, 2007
The meeting started at 2:00 PM.
All attendees were reminded to visit
the Association web-site for vital information such as board meeting minutes, and opportunities to volunteer for activities.
All attendees were reminded that
the park is available for use for family reunions and other parties.
Thanks were given to Randy Costew
for installing a new timer for the park lighting. This decreased the monthly
electric bill by 2/3’s.
Two or 3 people volunteered last
year to prepare a subdivision directory, but did not follow through.
The association badly needs a secretary
to facilitate issuing board meeting minutes, and assisting in coordination of other activities. There were no volunteers at this year’s meeting.
There is still a need for a block
captain for Adams
Road, and no volunteers were present.
There is a need for a fall clean-up
and besides the normal duties, the bridge to the wooded area is need of repair, and a large tree should be pulled out of the
pond now that it’s dry.
A neighbor reported a theft of items
from his car while parked on his driveway, as well as theft of some trash by his curb.
The thefts resulted in identity fraud as the information stolen was used by others to assume his identity and spend
thousands of dollars. The neighbors are reminded that all documentation with
their name/account numbers on paperwork should be shredded prior to putting in the trash.
An issue of deer feeding was brought
up by one of the neighbors. All residents are reminded that feeding the deer
in the neighborhood is not the best thing for them. While multiple deer are feeding
together, it is possible for them to pass along to each other a disease that threatens their life by deteriorating their skin
and muscle.
Certain residents have received
letters in their mail that are from “Friends of Judson Park”. These
letters are not signed by anyone, and give no contact information. However, these
letters are communicating to residents fraudulent claims, for example, telling the residents to take down Christmas light
displays or there will be “consequences”. All residents need to know
that no letters from the Judson board are sent to residents for any issues. These
letters are fraudulent, and if received, the authorities should be contacted immediately and a police report should be filed.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:30
PM.
