Date: April 8, 2008
The meeting started at 7:05 PM.
A resident, Scott Muschong attended
the meeting. He relayed information that
he found out about when he contacted R. H. City Council regarding traffic in Judson Park Subdivision. He was informed at that time, Dec-07, that a traffic study in our neighborhood would be performed by the
city Traffic Dept, in the Spring 2008. No such study, to our knowledge, has been
performed as of yet. However, there were patrol cars stationed along Potomac
near Tienken. Scott reported that 5 cars were stopped and ticketed for speeding,
with one car being clocked at 52 mph. Scott is hopeful that Mark Mattich from
the city will take get back with him and hopefully identify possible further measures to mitigate the speeding cars in our
subdivision.
Financial Report: The Treasurer reports 77 dues have been collected to date. Also,
he is confident with the second mailing due to be mailed in mid-April,that the remainder of the dues (approx. 30) will be
paid which will give the association the normal amount collected each of the last several years.
One of the neighbors has offered
her services to provide concerts in the park. However, it appears that it is
a money-making endeavor on her part. She wants to invite non-sub residents, and
charge admission. This type of activity is not appropriate due to it goes against
the Association bylaws. There are other factors as well that prohibit this activity
such as noise, and liability issues.
Scott Muschong has volunteered to
attend more Association meetings and to be the Secretary for the remainder of the year.
He also has expressed interest in the responsibility of creating an updated directory, and he also offered to collaborate
on getting the newsletter published with help of other neighbors, such as Sue Caporale or Suzette Costew.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:50
PM.
